Redcliffe
Redcliffe is an eastern suburb on the Redcliffe Peninsula. Along with the surrounding suburbs, it is a popular location for residents of Brisbane seeking a place to relax at its sandy beaches and café strip and hotels on Redcliffe Parade, through the CBD. Attractions such as Suttons Beach, Redcliffe Jetty, Settlement Cove Lagoon, Redcliffe Museum, Redcliffe Botanic Gardens, Redcliffe Showgrounds and The Redcliffe Leagues Club are all within the suburb of Redcliffe.. Every Sunday morning the Jetty Markets are held in Anzac Place, immediately north of the iconic Redcliffe Jetty. In September each year, Redcliffe celebrates its history as Queensland's first European settlement location with the First Settlement Festival. This festival is chiefly held in the Redcliffe CBD.

Scarborough
Scarborough is a suburb of Redcliffe City at the tip of the Peninsula. It, along with Kippa-Ring, encompasses the locality of Newport, consisting of many canal frontage homes with picturesque waterways. The suburb acts as a gateway to Moreton Island via the Combie Trader barge service. The suburb is known primarily for Morgans, a very popular seafood restaurant, and its thriving seafood industry at the Scarborough Boat Harbour. Scarborough Beach is one of a number of sandy beaches along its eastern coastline, with its Scarborough Beach Park awarded the "Queensland's Friendliest Beach" in 2003 and "Australia's Friendliest Beach" in 2004. The main street of Scarborough, Landsborough Avenue, is a popular location for families and day visitors from Brisbane with numerous cafés and the Scarborough Hotel. Part of the reason for its popularity is its overlooking views to Moreton Island across Moreton Bay, and quieter ambience compared to the Redcliffe Central Business District.

Kippa-Ring
Close to everything - this is Redcliffe’s most central suburb and like its neighbour, Scarborough is host to the prestigous water front canal properties. The suburb's curious name is a combination of the Kabi indigenous word "kippa", meaning young uninitiated man, and ring, a reference to a bora ring. Kippa-Ring is home to the Peninsula Fair Shopping Centre, as well as Kippa-Ring Village Shopping Centre, both of which are side by side. Peninsula Fair houses one of the first Kmart stores in Queensland and the only Multiplex Cinema on the Redcliffe Peninsula, the Australian Multiplex Cinema with eight screens. Kippa-Ring is also home of the Redcliffe Airport. This suburb is home to numerous sporting clubs and the PCYC so there are plenty of after school and weekend activities for the kids and for adults. Only five minutes to the waterfront and even less to the shopping centres, schools and restaurants this suburb is an ideal location for all.

Clontarf
Clontarf encompasses the localities of Clontarf Beach and Pelican Park. It is the largest suburb in the city by land area, and borders all suburbs in the city except for Redcliffe and Scarborough. Clontarf also shares a sea border with Brisbane City Council. Clontarf is connected to Brisbane city, across Bramble Bay, by the Houghton Highway which is a 2.7 km long causeway that provides access to the southern tip of Redcliffe City, greatly decreasing the travel time between Redcliffe and Brisbane. The Houghton Highway replaced the Hornibrook Bridge which is now used by pedestrians, cyclists and for recreational fishing. A great destination for a picnic or day around the water, Clontarf Beach and Bell's Beach are two of the closest beaches to Brisbane City. And for all the golf lovers there is an 18 hole golf course pictured below to the right. The popular kites at Kitefest, at Pelican Park, is an annual festival in Clontarf. Pelican Park is known for its kite flying conditions, and a local industry has built around the sport. On weekends, many kites can be seen flying above Clontarf from the Hornibrook.

Woody Point
Woody Point, formerly a banana plantation is now one of the most prestigious suburbs in Redcliffe. Boasting some of the most popular restaurants and taverns, perfect for a wine and dine or a family meal out. Its attractions include Bells Beach, Bicentennial Park, Scott's Point, the Woody Point Jetty and HMQS Gayundah Shipwreck. Woody Point also holds annual kite festivals festivals and jet skiiing competitions. Take a drive to Woody Point and you will see the leisurely and friendly atmosphere the local residents live every day.

Margate
Margate Beach, a 2km redeveloped stretch spanning the length of the suburb, features a timber boardwalk, viewing shelters and seating, and barbecue facilities, with views to Moreton Island over sandy beaches and Moreton Bay. The Margate CBD has undergone a $6m major redevelopment aimed at modernising the shopping precinct, making the area more attractive and comfortable, and a distinctive centre with a strong identity. This newly beautified suburb is attracting new residents from all areas. With the stunning beachfront, restaurants, shopping centres, schools, public transport and hotels all within minutes drive, Margate is convenience at its best!

Rothwell/Deception Bay
Rothwell is a growing business district, home to The Zone and a mixture of diverse businesses and shops. Rothwell is also a growing residential area, with many land lots being sold close to the shores of Deception Bay. The suburb's name is after the president of the Royal Automobile Club of Queensland, TJ Rothwell, who in 1921 proposed a Memorial Drive marked by an avenue of trees to Redcliffe via the upgraded main road (Anzac Avenue).
Deception Bay is located approximately 32km north of Brisbane in the south-eastern corner of the bay of the same name which separates the Redcliffe peninsula and Bribie Island. Deception Bay was so named by Lt John Oxley in 1823 who thought the bay was a river and because of his mistake and the shallowness, named it Pumice Stone River - afterwards changing the name to Deception Bay. A combination of development, population growth and the recent re-design under the urban renewal program of the Queensland Government the area has been tipped as the next “BOOM SUBURB”. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how convenient Deception Bay has become with many restaurants, taverns and its very own shopping centre. But the most noted feature of Deception Bay is the breathtaking Deception Bay beachfront, great for picnics, swimming and recreational fishing.

Brighton/Shorncliffe/Sandgate
Brighton is a desirable Brisbane suburb due to both the ease of public transport, such as the train service from nearby Sandgate, and also the wonderful bayside esplanade. This peaceful parkland esplanade follows the coast between the Houghten Highway Bridge and Sandgate. The esplanade is used by walkers and cyclists and enjoyed by families. Brighton's beach is used by kite surfers and also walkers during low tide. The road that follows the esplanade is called Flinders Parade named after the navigator Captain Matthew Flinders who was the first European to discover the area in order to establish a penal colony for Lord Brisbane, Governor of New South Wales. The southern ends of the Houghton Highway and Hornibrook bridges are found at the northern end of the suburb, connecting to Redcliffe city at clontarf.
Shorncliffe is a small community with a village atmosphere. During the Easter period Shorncliffe hosts the Blue Water Festival which celebrates the start of the famed Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. During this time the foreshore from the Queensland Cruising Yacht Club at the mouth of Cabbage Tree Creek through to the picturesque jetty and Lovers Walk is a hive of activity with markets, live music and a carnival atmosphere. Like it's neighbours, Sandgate and Brighton, it is a great weekend destination with a highly sought after real estate market.
